Soft Washing Wooden Decks
Approximately 1/2 the homes in the United States have a wooden deck, siding, fencing, or roof. Without protection wood rapidly deteriorates from the following elements:
- Water. Water is absorbed into the wood and washes out the natural wood resins and color. Freezing/thaw cycles can splinter and crack the wood. Also water promotes algae, mold, and mildew growth and rotting.
- Sun Light. Ultraviolet (UV) rays bleach the wood fibers and breaks down the cell structure.
- Mold, Mildew, Algae, and Fungus. Wood and moisture are a natural food source for mold, mildew, algae, and fungus. This generally causes a black, green or gray discoloration.
- Contamination. Contamination comes in the form of food, dirt, atmospheric pollution, etc. This is a good food source for Mold, Mildew, Algae, and Fungus.
Wood in poor condition reduces the value of a home. Proper cared for wood adds to the value and appearance of a home. There is more than one-way to clean and seal a deck.

I recently hired Steven Bradford from Aqua Pressure Washing to low pressure wash my complete house. He did a great job my house looks like its brand new again. Steven was very professional we did a walk around my property and Steven explained the entire process of low pressure wash and rinse versus High pressure process. He took great care protecting all landscaping, and I am completely satisfied with the job Steven did. I would highly recommend Aqua Pressure Washing and I will be calling him back
Aqua Pressure is now my source for pressure washing my house, driveway and fence. They performed all tasks in an outstanding and most professional manner…exceeding my expectations compared to previous contractors. They also painted my shutters and door, repaired my fence, trimmed my bushes and installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom. Price was fair and services the absolute best! Their number is 336.904.1221
